Best Intentions

Well!! My New Year's Eve resolution was to start blogging more regularly about my projects and such.  But then we all know what happened!

I will start with the project I finished today and then try to back fill the other projects that I have worked on the past 6 months.

I have been making masks for my husband and myself and a couple of other folks (more about those later).

This project I made 2 masks for the lady that does my pedicures because I found the PERFECT fabric for her and I couldn't resist.  Then I noticed that I had some extra fabric and wanted to make a little basket as well.

The masks are the same with the regular nail polish pattern on one side and the crazy nail polish on the other side.  They are reversible and I used different colored bias tape to make them different.  I special ordered the fabric from Spoonflower.  I didn't realize that each order is custom made and that it is digitally printed on the fabric.  It seems nicely done, though.

Masks and WeeBoxyBasket

Yesterday, I was lucky to find a cute pattern by Laura C at SweetCinnamonRoses for her Wee Boxy Basket pattern.  It took me less than 2 hours to make the small basket and it is SO cute.

It finishes about 3"x 3".

  1. My daughter-in-law is quite the seamstress, and made masks for everyone one in the family. One day, she, my son, and the grand kids piled into the car and spent the day delivering them. I thought that was one of the most lovely acts of kindness that I have experienced in a long time. Our projects are what keep us sane, so do what you can and blog when you can. As for me, I am working on the same blasted Halloween counted cross stitch project that I started a year ago. It didn't look all that big when I bought the chart, but wow, this thing is taking forever!
